Manager's Work Station



Concept


Manager's Work Station (MWS) is a modular set of programs which assist the unit manager in the daily operation of the store. MWS utilizes a unit based PC to process the store's data. This system may be electronically linked to in-store POS devices or may be free standing. The MWS system can be linked to the home office system via modem telephone line connection. This allows data to be synchronized across all data bases.

MWS was designed to be easily learned and used by non-computer literate users. MWS works in either the DOS, Windows, Windows95/98/NT environment with extensive ease of use features built into all versions.

The data transport and control features of MWS are further strengthened when the home office has a computer based capability. Though not a prerequisite for MWS, there are seamless connections to a central office computer.



Features


The modular features of MWS are regularly being expanded and enhanced as new client needs are identified. Some functions are :

Left HandIn-store P&L - A store level up-to-date Profit & Loss tracking and reporting capability.


Left Hand Sales Analysis - Capture and reporting of daily and period activity both dollars and counts.


Left Hand Accounts Payable - Entry and processing of vendor invoices.


Left Hand Inventory - Tracking and reporting of items in inventory.


Left Hand Ordering / Receiving - Tracking items from order to receipt including transfers, interfaces to inventory.


Left Hand Calendaring - Scheduling and tracking critical store activities.


Left Hand Timekeeping - Clock In/Out of employees and payroll interface.


Left Hand Email - Allows for electronic communications of mail, reports, etc. between the store, field and home office.


Left Hand Payroll - Provides the in-store employee database including time records.


Left Hand Data Transport - Electronic movement of data to/from the home office system.


Left Hand POS Interface - Links MWS to in-store POS systems.


Each MWS module is designed to help the unit be more profitable and efficient in information usage. This system can make a real impact on daily store functions and help managers work on the profit side of the business, not just the record keeping activities.
